Human rights and their importance in children's learning
Source
Human rights do not distinguish between color, sex, race or any other condition.
Understanding the importance of human rights makes us reflect and understand in some way as human beings in order to give others what we have.
By understanding human rights and accepting them, we work based on them, since it is a privilege that allows us to develop a good role in a society.
In the current society in which we live, the meaning of "what you give is what you receive" has been created in a decisive way, this being a positive motto, and even when they interfere, some negative aspects are received in the same way, for cope with them and act in a beneficial way for all.
As conscious citizens we must give value to what really deserves the civic, the ethical and what identifies us as people.
How we activate the strategy to complement and give the necessary value to human rights:
- With the knowledge.
- With the understanding.
- With the way of doing.
Education in human rights can not be absent, it is necessary to be interested in what it demands, since it is very necessary that this education be intervened by a vision that allows the student to start the path and complete it, making those rights have value.
When you educate in terms of human rights, you are recovering the value of self-esteem and dignity, and it is much more than thinking that they are human rights, you are thinking about the world in which you live, to achieve a better place.
So, education is a determining tool in the construction of thought and positive change.
What is the objective of human rights?
- Minimize vulnerability.
- Contribute with respect.
- It does not have discrimination.
Activities that can be applied to the knowledge of human rights.
Promoter of human rights. On this occasion, this activity promotes the importance of human rights in a sensitive and understanding manner.
Children will become promoters of their own rights as human beings. The idea of this activity is to unify, and make people understand that there is no distinction.

In what way is the activity put into practice?
The educator will instruct the children in the matter of human rights, and different groups will be formed, which should go to the different classrooms with students of different degrees to impart the information on human rights, where the following points will be discussed:
- By knowing their rights, children learn to let others know.
- Children learn to say the importance of respecting their own rights.
- Children learn to help others.
- Children culture in human rights, making it part of it.
- Human rights are an inherent value that must be respected.
This type of process is important because the acquisition of the message is generated through education and the development of knowledge itself.
Poster of human rights.
It is an activity in which children demonstrate that they have understood the message that has been transmitted to them in terms of human rights. It is a subject that requires attention, and promote its importance is a personal educational commitment, which should not be overlooked, therefore, inculcate it from childhood is the best act we can do to ensure adequate thinking.

Children will make an allusive poster in which everyone should work to achieve the goal, since it is a common goal, this will allow learning to be achieved, making it practical.
What materials will be used?
- Old magazines.
- Scissors.
- Glue for paper.
- Cardboards to paste the cropped images.
- Pencil and white sheets, to write the meaning of each image and what it represents.
Children will develop creativity and give life to human rights, these being the example to follow for the rest of their lives, since an acquired learning should never be forgotten.
Human rights strengthen the empowerment of the person, and make them more aware of their actions, teaching them to recognize their dignity and wealth in values.
