Today is quit a different post than my other ones. I honestly had no idea what i can possibly write about, while googling for some ideas i came across some very strange 'Cultural Practices'. Some of these actually gave me the chills, so of course i thought why not share it with the steemit community !! These are my top 3 hope you enjoy.

  1. The Cutting of fingers (Dani Tribe)
So while we normally just grief when losing a loved one. The woman of the Dani tribe take it a bit further, when a loved one is lost they will show their grief by cutting of a segment of their finger!!
The finger is first tied with a string for 30 mins to numb them and then when it is amputated the new finger tip is burn to create new scar tissue.

  2. After Marriage no using the toilet ?
So this one i found quit strange since going to the toilet is a very natural and normal thing, however Tidong people of Borneo are not allowed to use the bathroom for 3 days after the wedding !
This is believed to be a bonding method as well it is believed if it is not done they will suffer with infertility, death of their children as well as have a broken marriage.

  3. Massai Tribe of Kenya
If i meet someone and and they spit at me when I said hello i will feel pretty discussed. But for this tribe spitting is a way of saying hello. When a baby is born men will also spit on him and refer to him as bad in a way to protect the baby from evil spirits.
