I have been out from this platform for a whole 3 years, when I left I still run the comments encouragement program with few fellow steemians in steemsea community, but now I did find it's not that interesting anymore. I don't know why?
As you say, if someone leave a comment on your post, if you can't reply longer because you're limited to the power or language, at least you can say thanks and comment back on other's posts. yeah it's time consuming though, but it's fun somehow.

I returned at the end of 2023 so I am back since a year now and during this year a lot has changed. Many very active Steemians are taking a break, or perhaps left, and a few old ones are back.

I believe language is no longer a barrier. Some use web browsers translating and there are who add a translation or use a built-in translator. I copy-past in Google if deepl.com refuses.
I do believe that the average Steemian has changed and it's post, earn and leave.
For sure you remember @paulag and I was part of the comment coin project but commenting is and remains hard. What the others write here can be true, or a mix but my believe is that if it's not rewarded likewise posts everyone will see it as a waste of time.
Since September (the last time I was curator) I see a huge fall of good comments let alone replies. I mean if someone takes the time to answer you and write a long text just an "ok" is not enough I you want to see them back.
Unlike back then today there's no need for a fellow Steemian to upvote you, at least that is how it feels to me.

Yessssssssss, I friggin' love statistics. I love how numbers tell me the fact, the information. I love how sometimes numbers break my heart, and how at another time bring some joys. But, maybe I am just not a good host. It is work and all that make me occupied.

Thanks for the explanation @wakeupkitty.pal, LOL... we're in CCC with @freedomshift back then. I remember @paulag and somehow, she sets an auto vote to my posts on bee thing. I left my discord abandoned for the last 2 years after I left my job with splinterlands. But now, Im back.
there're many things to catch up with and I will try my best to read and learn about the "new environment" of steem for now. I do write in Bahasa just to get myself used to the platform, so i can make a post with a style dangit, that 5.2 achievement is a past for me. I'll be around and come to you when I want to know more.

all i need to do is adapt to the whole new environment again, i was having second dormant account for 3 years again and now I'm ready to come back to my old days having fun with the comments again. still... I need to one step at a time, long comment thread is challenging, right?

I love commenting more than anything, because it's always interesting to read other's perspective and posts. while for myself, I think for now... I'm going to just post the diary game to make myself familiar with the ecosystem first and then I'll find a way to some contests when I have time.
I found steem mobile app, so, it would be easier for me to just looking around anytime
