The Bible.. William Tyndale:The man who translated the Holy Bible into English language

WILLIAM TYNDALE:the man who translated to the Bible into English language and was burnt alive at a ridiculous age of 42 years old.(Google foxes book of martyrs)
Nearly 500 years ago this week, William Tyndale foldly called the father of the English Bible was strangle and burnt alive at the stake after been tried and convicted of heresy and the reason because he translated the Bible into English.

HIS OFFENSE
He translated the Bible from Greek language to English language
That you have a bible in a language that you can read is largely due to his labour and many of the very phrases you read in it retain the flavor because of his understanding of Greek and Hebrew languages
A graduate of Oxford and Cambridge, Tyndale have the desire of making the Bible available for the common man in England in order to correct of the 'bible ignorance of some priest'.At one point Tyndale told a priest if God spare my life,are many years pass,I will cause the boy that drive the plow, shall know the Bible than thou dost
Today,90% of king James version of the holy Bible and 75% of the revised standard versions are from the translation made by Tyndale,a man to whom you owe that you will ever know
A nice dream,but how was Tyndale will accomplish this tasks,when translating the Bible to English was illegal at that time
He went to London to ask approval from the bishop tunstall if he could be authorised to make an English translation of the Bible but the bishop could not grant his request
However TYNDALE couldn't let the disapproval of men carrying out what seems so obvious the will of God.with the encouragement and support of some of the British Merchant,he decided to go to Europe to complete the translation, then have it printed and snuggles it back to England.
In 1524, TYNDALE sailed for Germany,in Hamburg,he worked for the new testament and in cologne,he found a print who could help him print the work.However news of Tyndale's activity came to an opponent of reformation who had the press raided.
TYNDALE managed to escape with the pages of the Bible already printed and made his way to Germany city worms where the new testament was sooner published.
Six thousand copies were printed and smuggled back to England.
The bishop did everything to eradicate the Bible.bishop tunstall had some copies ceremoniously burnt at St Paul's,the bishop of Canterbury brought up some copies to destroy them.tyndale used the money to print improve editions.
Tyndale continue hiding among the merchant in Antwerp and began translating the old statement while the king's agent search for him all over England and Europe for him

A copy of Tyndale's "the obedience of christian man" fell into the hands of king Henry Viii,providing the king with the rationale to break the church of England from the Roman Catholic Church in 1534
In 1535, Tyndale was arrested and jailed in the castle of vilvoorde (filford) outside brussel over a year.
TYNDALE work was denounced by the authorities of the Roman Catholic Church and Tyndale's himself was accused of heresy
TYNDALE,42 was finally found by an Englishman who pretended to be his friend and turned him over to the authorities.After a year and half in prison,he was brought forward for trail for heresy-for believing in the gospel, among other things and the forgiveness of sins and the Mercy offered in the gospel was enough for salvation.
In August 1536,he was condemned and excited(burned alive at the stake)on 6th October 1536 in a small town in Belgium
As Tyndale's was burnt to death,he reportedly said "lord,open the king of England eyes"
WAS HIS PRAYER REQUEST ANSWERED?YES
Yes!the prayers was answered I part when three years later,in 1539 Henry viii required every parish in England to make available the copy off the English Bible to it's parishioners.Today, Tyndale's prayers is fully answered,not only are the king's eyes upon also the Bible is the most popular book in the world and a universal instrument that is changing life
*In 1611,the 54 scholars who produce the king James version of the bible drew significantly from Tyndale,as well has the formula that descended from his.
*In 2002, TYNDALE was placed at number 26 at BBC poll of 100 greatest British;you know in heaven he will surely would be before the preceding 25
A very important and piece of interest in history worth knowing and appreciating by all believers

Today it is hard to imagine a world without the English Bible and there could be more than 900 translation of the Bible in existence.but before Tyndale it has never happened.He is known has the father of the English Bible.since the later and epochal work of the king James version Bible largely consist of Tyndale scholarly and accessible translation
The English language as with the scholarly understanding continue to evolve and so the works of the Bible translation continue today.
But without the courage of the man like Tyndale who challenge the status quo before them and died for doing so,it might never have been possible
