I normally shoot with my trusty Nikon D80 or even sometimes my Nikon D90, but, this time I took this cool shot from my phone.
My phone. Yeah, pretty neat huh?
If you ever get a chance there is a REALLY good and affordable kit lens for apple/Android phone users. The company is called Olloclip.
Website here: https://www.olloclip.com
I believe their "base" lens kit costs about $90 after taxes and their most expensive one is about $140 after tax.
What you get in the package is (depending on which option you bought) 4 lenses, a bag to put them in, a keychain and a bracket that the lenses attach to go over your regular phone camera.

What happens is that you slide the bracket over your camera phone, pick a lens- screw the lens on to the bracket gently- and use!
Now if I remember correctly... the 4 lenses are actually made into 2, you see, on the bracket are already two different style lenses.
10x macro and a 15x macro. The picture above was shot on the 15x macro option.

Whereas this one was shot with the 10x macro. (There's a bit of a difference quality wise but hey)

Beautiful pictures and very informational post. Thanks!

You're welcome @greenie and thank you :)

Coolio - looking for something like this for my android (lgv10) - been trying to experiment with a drop of water over the lens without much success. But damn, those insects look wicked ;)

I've tried the waterdrop scenereo and it DOES work however it, of course, wasn't of the better quality beside any kit lens. I'd honestly go check them out @steemmeupscotty I really love these guys! 😜
