Alien Plant Pods - Closeup

On our hike on one of the trails, I found these littlest guys I have no idea what they are called but do you agree with me that they look like little alien pods.

This photo was taken at ground level I had to set my phone on the ground to get that macro shot.

Again I really enjoy taking pictures of things in its own element and close up.
