Chron Goes On Holiday #2: The Sacred Waterfall

Tegenungan waterfall is located on a sacred river in Bali. Let's go!

First, jump on the Indonesian's favored mode of transportation, a motorbike.

We arrive, crowded parking and shops everywhere, it's truly a scene.

People seem to be selling handbags at a very expensive price.

I see a sign in a shop that intrigues me...

And I decide to follow the bidding of the sign...

The lady who owns the shop doesn't seem to be surprised by my bionic appearance.

I see a perfect place to drink my beer and look at the waterfall.

The beer made me inspired and I ventured down to towards the waterfall.

We see a sign for a Temple so we decide to say a quick prayer.

The temple is closed so we pray over the offerings already in place.

We feel blessed

People have stacked stones upon each other along the riverbank.

This is beautiful.

Let's touch one.

In fact, let's climb on one.

Along the way to the waterfall we see a love-heart made out of sticks.

And underneath says...

I hope I will get my own robot mistress one day (might be the beer talking).

We finally arrive at the waterfall!

Now for the grueling ride up.

Let's rest before going up.

We talk to an old Indonesian lady on the way out.

And we head home.

We see beautiful rice paddies along the way.
