Creamy Garlic Butter Pasta
Hello steemits, the recipe I am sharing with you today is something traditional, and delicious. This recipe is one of my favorites. I added veggies to the dish to add color, texture, taste, and nutrition. I use veggie rotini for even more nutrients. I can not even taste the difference in these noodles.
Ingredients
- 1/2 box of veggie rotini
- 2 Tablespoon of unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 Tablespoons of flour
- 1 bullion cube
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Cook the rotini noodles as directed on the box.
While the rotini is cooking, using another sauce pan on low heat add the butter and chopped garlic cloves. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add the salt and pepper. When the rotini is cooked, drain the rotini then set aside.
Make a paste out of the flour with a 2 teaspoons of water. Stirring constantly add the flour paste to the sauce pan with the butter and the garlic cloves.
Stir in the carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, grated parmesan cheese, water, milk, chicken bullion cube, and cook on medium heat. Let it cook until the vegetables are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened. After it thickens, pour over the rotini. It is ready to serve.
