UN(dis)TALENTED: Making Atsara or "Papaya Salad"

Making a special pilipino delicacy is my honor to serve. Yesterday I make an extra income, I made a special delicacy salad which is the most and healthy delicacy of most pilipinos.

Costing:

1,000

Carrots = 162 kilo peso
Salt = 21 kilo peso
Red pepper = 66 kilo peso
Ginger = 200 kilo peso
Raisins = 75 1 pack
White sugar = 53 kilo
Vinegar = 21.25 each

Over all: **PHP 598.25 ** so I have left PHP 401.75 to my costing very affordable to the pocket.
My budget is 1k and I think 1k is enough for the salad recipe.

First finding papaya for sale, I ask them if there is a sale papaya in their yards. So after I collecting the papaya fruit were going home and pel the papaya fruit so we can start the proceedure.

Ingredients:

4 cups grated fresh green papaya
1/4 cup salt
3 carrot, peeled and sliced
3 reb pepper, slice long strips
1/2 (inch) ginger, peeled and sliced
2 green chile peppers
1 box raisins
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 stbp salt

Directions:

1 Toss The grated papaya 1/4 cup salt together in athe large bowl. So the papaya absorve the salt, allo to sit for 1 hour. After that drain the liquid from the papaya and rinse thoroughly. Squeeze to drain as much liquid from thethe papaya as passible. So no more itchy to eat the papaya because the salt absove the itchy.

2 combine the papaya, carot,red bell pepper, ginger chile pepper, and raisins together and mixed itis together in a clean large bowl. After you mixed the ingredients tranfer thr mixture to clean dry jars with lids. We are halg way to the proceedure.

3 stir the vinegar,water,sugar and 1tbsp salt together in a small saucepan. And wait till they boiled, wait for 5 minutes. Pour the vinegar mixture into the jars, but to my process is I stay them coldto because of my plastic jar. Making sure the vegetable are completely submereged in liquid. And let the vegetable to marinate the liquid at least 2 days before using or sale. And please be guided store in frige between uses.

Per serving 113 calories 0.2 g fats, 28.2 g carbohydrates cholesterol 241 mg sodium, 1 g protein 0 mg.
