I generally think btc should support micro transactions but with the network completely flooded by transactions atm I think its not that bad to reduce low value transactions to improve the high-value transaction's speeds. Hope we get an improvement soon though that allows micro transactions for minimal to zero fee. Would open up btc to a much larger audience, i.e., that part of the population that has limited access to stable currency..
