I just bought my first $1000 in bitcoin

So I have finally decided to wade in to the crypto world. I know I am late to the game but I hope with all I am learning about it here on steemit I will still have a bright future in this realm. I used a bitcoin atm and it was very simple. So at least I have a start. I am planning to go in again tomorrow, after the eclipse of course, and buy some more. I know bitcoin is way up and maybe it will go down but I am just ready to start to move out of the dollar since we know it is going down with every dollar they print! Tell me what you think. I plan to buy some steem once I have bitcoin. The exchange fees have been a bit shocking, maybe someone can tell me the cheapest ways to diversify into multiple crypto currencies.
