Hello community friends, welcome to my blog today, I do love to be showing you my craft for this week and am sure you eager to see what it looks like. The name and each step taken is written down below, enjoy!!..

What is the name of what you have made.

The name of my craft work is known as Base basket, in my native language, we call it "Ñkàtà" which is used for various kinds of things such as packing fruits, vegetables, fishes and so many other things.

Steps on how you made the craft

Let's see the materials and steps to making this craft work.

Materials:

• Scissor
• Carton
• Metre ruler
• Gum
• Pencil
• A cover (to get a circle shape)

Here's my step my step drawing process:

I first started by separating the carton into three places and then used my pencil and the cover to mark out a circle shape.

After cutting it out, I applied gum and placed it on another piece of separated carton to make it more thicker. And it left us with a beautiful circle shape.

After cutting it too totally out, I took the other separated part of the carton to out thin stick from it, I cut out 11pieces.

Applied gum on one of the circle shape then began fixing all of them on it, after I was done with that the placing, I covered it with the other circle shape by applying gum on it.

Then I proceeded further to cutting out more smaller piece of the carton, applied gum on each tip and connected it like a wire.

I used it to tie around the sticks surrounding the foundation of the basket. Here is what I did.

As I was fine rapping it around, I cut out the remaining and folded it inside, cut out the handle and fix it to fit.


The Final

How did you get the idea?

I got this idea from a YouTube channel I onced watched, although fixing the basket was kind of a little difficult but at least I got to search online to see what procedures they too, so I could do mine more perfectly.

How useful is what you have made?

It is very useful as you can use it to gather local food stuffs such as fishes, vegetables, fruit. It can also be used to go to market and purchase food stuffs for our native meal.

Which kid did you inspire or do you intend to inspire and help develop the creativity?

I want to use it to inspire my relative who has a sense of creativity too. I want her to be able to use it to buy things from the local market. Others could chose to make the cover but I just leave it open as per my choice.
