Lightening Round ~ Foible

Today's word of the day for January 3 is foible.

I like this one. It gave me things to think about.

It was a Saturday afternoon. She had watched Kay and his friend awhile before going back to the book she was reading. Kay had always been a sweet child, and the sweetness never left as he got older. He had his foibles but that was what made him more unique.

The doctors had diagnosed autism when he was two. She had seen him struggle over the years she wasn't going to deprive him of what made him happy. She let him play on the roof while she watched, until that afternoon. She couldn't stop staring at his motionless body.
