Call of Nature
I sit and watch the sky
I notice the moon is full
Unlike the night before
Its light bring a smile to my lips
With mouth turned upside down in pleasure
I murmur to myself
And touch my cheeks to feel their warmness
One flies past
Others follow
Chirping and flapping their wings
I remember the singing multicolored one
I saw before dusk
Its voice so melodious
I stood and stared
Till it flew away
The sway of branches catch my eyes
I look up and wonder
If the whistling wind is calling my name
I breath in the fresh air
Feel the breeze on my skin
It’s fingers through my hair
Like a passionate lover
Just then an owl hoots
And makes me think
Of its round eyes and myth of wisdom
I close my eyes
And let myself get lost
In the serenity of nature
