He was a bachelor then and had even made a move to want to seek my newly graduated daughter's hand in marriage! They had met in a church and I am sure he did not concentrate in the service that day because of the young woman that sat by his side! My daughter who claims to not remember him rejected his relationship and even friendship offer back then even though it should have been easy for him due to our working relationship.
Our firm shut down since last March on account of the pandemic. Our boss spoke with me last week and apprised me that as soon as the contractee company called we the contractors out,he would inform me to start coming. Most importantly,he told me that he had invited my back to back over to his place the very next day to also intimate him about developments about our return to work.
About four days after their meeting,my back to back called me to ask me about our return to work! Mildly put,I was exasperated but managed to keep my cool. I politely reminded him that our boss met with him some days' back whether he wanted me to read out to him the minutes of their meeting? He lives in the same town with our boss & I live about five hundred kilometres away from them! He lamely put up the defence that I could be far away but have more information than he has. Can you imagine!
That is the kind of negative intelligence many men exhibit. Such idiosyncrasies I do not know if they are peculiar to diminutive men or am I irrational in my judgement?
