Hello wonderful Steemians, I'm here to bring to the community what I love and what I feel the community will love also. My contents will be mostly on Movie Technology, Visual Effects in Movies, Before and After, and Behind the Scenes of our favourite movies. Please sit back, relax and enjoy.

Alot of us watch movies but don't really notice the amount of Visual Effects/CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) in the movies we watch. Some visual effects are so subtle that our brains couldn't even have imagined visual effects was used.
Some directors could rely on subtle visual effects to remove stains on actors cloths after the movie have been shot. Instead of reshooting that scene, the power of computer and technology come into play to save the day... As a visual effects artist, I've encountered so many situations like this, and what can I say... It is our job and its a fun experience, especially when the director becomes so humble just for that little error that needs to be fixed... Lol

Over 90% of Hollywood movies nowadays rely on visual effects to tell their stories. Sometimes it is impossible to tell the story the director envisions without the help of visual effects. Movies like Avatar wouldn't have been possible without visual effects and the technology used. James Cameron had to wait for many years after writing the movie Avatar because the technology to make the film possible wasn't available yet. That shows you the power of technology when it comes to filmmaking.

Also, film like The Jungle Book (which I will be focusing on today) wouldn't have been possible without visual effects. Cos I don't think the film crew would want to film near TALKING ANIMALS.... laughs Lol.

I guess I'm getting too carried away. It's high time I started with the main objective for today. So sit back, relax and enjoy as I take you guys through THE VISUAL EFFECTS OF THE JUNGLE BOOK

The Jungle Book is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film, directed and co-produced by Jon Favreau and produced by Walt Disney Pictures, and written by Justin Marks. The film is Based on Rudyard Kipling's eponymous collective works and inspired by Walt Disney's 1967 cartoon film of the same name
The Jungle Book is a visual effects driven, live-action/CGI film that tells the story of Mowgli, an orphaned human boy who was raised by his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery while evading the threatening Shere Khan.

Disney's The Jungle Book won the Academy Award in visual effects.

The Jon Favreau-directed Jungle Book was widely praised for its effective use of "virtual production." The film was filmed entirely on a bluescreen stage in Los Angeles. The only real live action in the film is Mowgli (Neel Sethi) and the small piece of set on which he stood or climbed. The rest of the film, all of the animals and the photoreal jungle itself was computer generated and visual effects.

"The jungle was very difficult task and the animals, we all know animals and how animals behave, so if anything felt artificial, the magic trick wouldn't work," said Valdez.

And speaking of the virtual production process, Legato said. "We feel like we're live action camera operators again. And we're embracing the mistakes we have grown to know in live action. We cherished them rather than fixed them."

The Jungle book film required every ounce of talent and technology that MPC and Technicolor had to offer ... and the results are up there on the screen for all to see."
