SEC-S17 / W2 | What if you were the president of your country?
Hi, I welcome you all to my blog today.

My top three priorities as the presidency of my country are:
- Tackling Unemployment & The Economy
- Handling the Insecurity
- Improving Healthcare and Educational Systems
The country's economy needs attention and infct there should be a state of emergency declared on it to help tackle the many issues around it. We can see the hyperinflation in the country today where the cost of living as trippled. Jobs have been lost, and both public and private sectors are unable to create employment.
In a depressed economy where a chunk of the youths are unemployed, we should expect their attention to be easily diverted to acts not advisable. Insecurity has been a combined problem of failures from different things that couldn't be done right.
Healthcare and education are one that we must correctly get right to make sure we are on track to progress.
To improve both the education and healthcare systems in my country, I will do some quick overhaul and which include
ensuring that we have free and compulsory education access to all and especially for the children of the poor. These free.amd compulsory access to edu ationnwould be implementable to all tiers of government to have a uniform enforcement.
provision of soft loans and scholarships to all who show interest to further their studients and those with excellent performances.
Creating a more roboust healthcare system that would give access to more citizens, especially to the lower class. This may be from subsiding healthcare delivery costs based on income levels.
Some of the envisaged problems may include:
In a democratic system, one would need some of the bills and implementation 5o pass through the national assembly. In a situation where ideas are not bought, it may suffer delays.
Eradicating corruption from the system and ensuring everyone is on the same page with me. It may be a difficult task but surely has a solution.
the overbearing debt burden of the country. The country's debt profile both on external and internal standings isn't too palatable. Raising more funds to execute some stella tasks may be hindered.
Some of the things to do to write my name in book.of history include;
Ensuring I strike a deal of restructuring the debt burden of the country and, to some extent, help negotiate for debt cancellation.
Engaging the services of mercenaries exepcially form bilateral and advanced nationsmto help eradicate terrorist activities in some parts of the country.
Revamping of the nations pay system system that would represent better welfare package to all without baseless disparities. A wage system that is all emcompassing.
Putting in place an unemployment stipends for the unemployed skilled and unkilled citizens. This would help channel their activities to some skill acquisition in this period of wait.
In summary, taking the job of the president is a difficult task, but the goal at every point should be how best we make our stay during the term as memorable one to all. I am inviting @ninanpenda and @chilaw.
