Steemit Community Projects (SCP)
This week start's two (2) of @chiefmappster 's Steemit Community Projects (SCP). The first project is something that has been in the works for quite sometime. It is a influencing (marketing) campaign on the hybrid news site Slashdot.
If you are unaware of https://slashdot.org/ , its basically a watered down version of Steemit; it's open-source with no blockchain technology and no rewards system.
However, as you can see the interactions, content shared, and flow of website is pretty similar. I have been using Slashdot for one of my news sources for a several years now and the content I find on there is top notch and always ahead of the other sources. Its a social news website through and through.
Sound familiar?
Slashdot's user base of over 3.7 million unique visitors per month and they are just waiting for Steemit.
They just don't know about it yet.
Why would they create content, comment, and poll on a platform and not having really anything to show for it?
Here is where @chiefmappster 's first Steemit Community Project comes in.
Slashdot offers effective and efficient advertising products on its site. The two I will be funding will be the Leaderboard Sponsorship and native ad products
The goal of my use with these advertising products is to drive awareness of Steemit into similar target markets. Slashdot has very similar target markets as Steemit just look at Slashdot's breakdown of users:
As you can see they are some of Steemit's prime target markets and will jump on the Steemit bandwagon.
As soon as they find out.
This is the goal of these Steemit Community Projects sponsored by @chiefmappster. I will update the community with results periodically to provide value and analytics for any interested Steemian.
The other Steemit Community Project starting this week is inspired by the almighty @neoxian , one of Steemit's OG Tech Shamans. I will be offering two (2) Steemit Services similar to what @neoxian is doing.
The first Steemit Service is: @chiefmappster 's Blog Checking Service.
I have published quite a few posts here so far on Steemit and would love to share the knowledge I have obtained with you. I am doing something like @neoxian where I will analyze your blog post. You just send me .5 SBD with the URL as the memo and we are off. I will use these funds to maintain the Slashdot advertising campaigns to attract new users from their site to Steemit.
The other Steemit Service offered is: @chiefmappster 's Resteeming Service.
In another effort to provide additional recognition and reward to authors creating original content here on Steemit, I will be resteeming two (2) high quality articles per week. just like @neoxian, send me 5 SBD for a resteem (post URL in memo). You will be refunded if I can't or won't resteem your post.
With these two Steemit Community Projects (SCR), I hope to bring incredible value to Steemians and the Steemit platform. For both Steemians and the community, has given me so much I want to give back in any way I can.

I love the idea that it's up to us to bring Steemit mainstream. You're doing big things. Keep it up. I'm on board.

Those are awesome projects, I hope you capture lots of slashdot users who have no idea what steemit is. They just don't know what they missing out on :)
