Have You Ever Experienced "Missing Posting Authority issue"? Here Is How To Fix it

Introduction

Hello 👋 there my fellow and delightful Steemians. I have brought an important learning tip which I believe it may help one or two Steemians whom have been facing this issue or who will face this issue In future. It's an issue of Missing Posting Authority which usually appear beneath our post when we want to post our content. You can see for your self below 👇

The image above is when my friend @fafiboss had this issue. He was panicking thinking that his account had been block or hacked. He tried posting to no avail. So, he decided to send me the image and I also struggle and struggle to no avail. I will tell you how I later found the solution in my next paragraph.

If you have ever faced this problem and finally didn't came out with a solution, then I'm here to teach you how to handle such problems each time you face it. If you have never experienced it then just follow me up because it may help you in future if should incase you come across this issue or you fine some one who is experiencing it.

What Causes this Issue

The main cause of this problem is that your text may contain special character. Or If you have been experiencing this issue, it simply means that you were using a symbol on your keyboard which is not supported on steemit.

Your writing format is also another problem if should incase you experience such issue

When ever you experience this issue, you will see a message which will pop up like this "RPCError: Missing Posting Authority:Missing Posting Authority by your username"

How To Fix this Issue

If this problem have ever happened to you, then here is the solution. When ever it occur, do not bother to panic or have fears. Instead check the formatting of your article, words, symbols and your HTML coding. Once you checked all this, you will probably fine a solution to your problem. They are some HTML coding or symbols that steemit don't support. So when ever you used them, it will be practically impossible for your article to be posted

In My friend @fafiboss's case, I tried and tried and even told him to logout and login then post it. He tried my method to no avail until I almost gave up. So instead of keep trying the same thing, I tried something else Which worked perfectly for me.

What I found out that worked for me was that I later found out that he over gave spaces when starting his paragraphs as seen below . This means that in his case, it was his writing format that caused it

From my screenshot above, you can see his writing format which steemit didn't support it. So I had to shift all the characters to the extreme. After shifting the characters you see I have highlighted, I then furwarded back his article and luckily he posted it successfully this time around. I was so happy because I had never experienced such an issue before or somebody have never brought such an issue to me

Conclusion

I hope when this issue arises you guys won't longer panic again. I have also noticed that this issue mostly happens to only to newbies or few Steemians who don't always proof-read their articles before submission because typos error may be found in their article which they mistakenly inserted unwanted symbols without their knowledge.

So In general, it's always good to proofread your work and check your work formatting before submission so as to avoid such from occurring
