"Young Woman With Pearl Earring"
This is Jodie Foster from her film, "Little Man Tate." I was watching this movie on my desktop computer and she struck this pose, which I liked very much. I scanned back to this moment, paused the player, and painted this watercolor.
I wasn't as concerned with her exact likeness as much as I was in getting the beauty of her thoughtful expression as she was about to say something. I also liked the lighting and the slight tilt of her head.
I hope you enjoy seeing this painting.
BTW, "Little Man Tate" (1991) is a fine film, IMHO. It was Ms. Foster's directorial debut. I recommend it.
