Another demonstration for my portrait painting students with a sleepy model. It must be difficult to stay awake while posing for artists. They're not supposed to move so they try hard to remain still. So many models I've painted start to doze off when they're in a comfortable position, sitting for hours (of course, they get breaks every half hour). Maybe one day I'll have an exhibition with the theme "Sleepy Models I Have Known!" 😁

I had a life drawing model in college who doubled as a dancer, he used to hold the most painful looking positions for 40-50 minutes at a time, made me glad to be on the other side of the canvas.
Yes, indeed! I've seen that myself. I once painted with a group of sculpture students who had their model in a pose where she was shaking, moaning, and sweating. I felt so uncomfortable for her that I could barely paint! Oh, and thank you for the nice comment @grumblebum !
