"Garden Pumpkins"

This is a watercolor I painted of heirloom Connecticut pumpkins growing in my garden a couple years ago.

Connecticut pumpkins can grow quite large, and because they are heirloom, the seeds inside can be planted and they'll grow. (Unlike most seeds available in stores which are usually hybrid and do not grow very well when planted.)

I love to garden and I enjoy giving extra produce away to my neighbors: potatoes, sweet corn, pumpkins, whatever. Here are just some of my pumpkins, lined up along my driveway, ready to be hauled away!
