Vlog #405 - Sayonara Actifit
I used the @Actifit DAPP for over a year and decided to stop using it. The reasons behind this hard decision are:
1- Useless token accumulation.
2- Project lose track of what it wants to accomplish.
3- Meaningless upvote despite the number of delegation.

Hey Brother @chesatochi. Sorry to hear you're leaving the #actifit Army. But let me point out why using the #dapp is important.
First off, using a #steem #DApp shouldn't be about the rewards we receive but the mere fact of supporting #steem #DApps. In hopes that one day, the tokens and the rewards will be much larger. So, if we continue to support the #dapps within the ecosystem this will increase the value of the ecosystem and tokens/coins which makes all the #dapps and ecosystem more valuable (and more attractive to others outside the #steem ecosystem) and including the #steem token.
Secondly, they upvote everyone who uses the #dapp, so to give big upvotes would mean that many users wouldn't get an upvote because they would burn their SP to fast leaving none for other users.
Third, again, it shouldn't be about the rewards but just being able to keep track of your daily fitness activities. They don't charge for the DApp as other Applications do and I am sure that those other Mobile Apps won't give you any rewards at all for using them so @actifit is a Win-Win situation in My Honest Opinion.
Four, they are building up their #dapp always by improving it and adding new features to the DApp itself and their website. So, the tokens may be worth something in the near future. You never know and again, it's about supporting Decentralized Applications on the #Steem #Blockchain that's important, right?

I’m disappointed too for the one-way AFIT token on S-E. This situation, perfectly remind me the bank system and protectionism: nothing to do with a free blockchain.

I guess that with the listing on exchanges comes the ability to withdraw tokens. Yet, it is quite a feat (and expensive) to be listed on a decent exchange.

I use Actifit mostly to keep track, as for the earnings yes they are small and the token is worth nothing, but take into account that now you also get a few other tokens with that actifit post, like sportstalk, which also have very little value today but might go up.
I know but my heart is not into Actifit anymore, it is something I have in mind for quite sometimes.
That is one dapp I never tried. Would have been good if you didnt have to post it to your steemit wall.
Those reports create a lot of spam contents on the Steem blockchain. It is the only way if you want to receive the tokens.
One thousand steps for one day? That's huge I think you've been a really huge user of actifit, it's riveting really.
Yes, I did over 106k steps last year in one day and sent over 266 reports. Yesterday it was my last one.
Wow I think I'm 25 and I can't even replicate that. Haha
I only post one #freewrite post a day, so I never downloaded the @actifit app, but you're the first Steemian that I've seen stop using it @chesatochi. You may start a trend. I use a FitBit too. 👍
