Letting go of the past sometimes isn't as easy as it seems. It has destroyed so many lives and sent them on the journey of no return, some deal with the spirit of depression day in day out. Some people are nothing but shadows of themselves, little thing triggers and bring to their subconscious the past they think they've buried deep in the recess of their mind. They put on a fake facade of being ok while fighting infidelity, abuse, heartbreak, loneliness, pain, family problem, fear they can't explain e.t.c loosing their self confidence in the process. They have no joy or enthusiasm, they walk through life like a ghost.

One of the first steps to letting go is identifying what you're really dealing with, don't ignore it, don't try to sweep it under the rug and hope that it will go away. It won't and until you realize it won't you'll keep hurting yourself with the fake facade of being alright.
Admit whatever the problem is: Be it heartbreak, abuse, infidelity, sacked from work, loneliness e.t.c and say "I'm going to deal with this".

Talk to someone else about it in all honesty. Find someone matured and say "I need your help", admitting that isn't easy but it is necessary and also liberating. Discuss the areas where you're struggling, tell the person what's holding you back. Don't feel embarrased about seeking for help instead swallow your pride and confess your weakness, get the help you need so you can be free.
Stop being the victim and blaming others for your predicament but insteand find someone that will stand with you, someone that will understand you, someone who wouldn't criticize you, someone who'll pray with you. Find someone that will hold you accountable. Also learn to accept your fault, take responsibilty for your actions. Set a new standard for yourself, annihilate that spirit of depression completely.

Going for therapy and sessions also help, have someone who is ready to listen to you even when you're not making any sense whatsoever.
Cry it out, its helps. You don't alway have to keep it in and act strong all the time. Crying doesn't mean you're weak either, its only a process you have to go through. Loose yourself from the cage you locked yourself in.

Finally forgive them and forgive yourself.
Set yourself free,
End the limitation,
End the pain.
Live happy.
Be happy.
Let go of the past, burn it and bury the ash.
Never go back to what brings you down.

Very nice one. Thanks for inspiration.

Very encouraging. There is so much untapped emotional strength at the end of unrepressed tears.
