You Shape Your Own Reality
You Shape Your Own Reality
This is the truth. Like it or not. You can shape a good or bad reality for yourself. Now, this is not one of those "don't be negative" or "you must always be positive" posts. It is a good idea to simply, make the best out of your situation. Does that mean being (acting) exuberantly happy all the time? Because let's face it, that is an act. Does it mean the entire world must know about all your aches, pains, troubles, & woes just by looking at you? No!!
I bring this up because I often feel misunderstood and not taken seriously. At times this has made me feel like just saying to the world, "Well, if you went through this xyz tragedy I did, you'd be the same way." Truth is, that's not true. You & I simply don't know how any person will react to similar or the same negative, crappy ciurcumstances.
I think it is generally a good thing if you carry yourself in such a way that others would never know the depth of shit you dredge through. And, when I say "others", I mean your common man. It is more than okay to talk to close friends and/or family about your issues. I'm not advocating you not to talk about your issues.
I'm simply saying to carry yourself with your head held high. Don't let others see you wearing your heart on your sleeve 24/7. Chances are you aren't the only one with problems. You also do not solely carry the human card for suffering. And, if you think you do, let's face it, you're selfish. Other people will pick up on the fact that you perceive yourself as a major human sufferer.
Don't claim a title that's not yours to claim. Don't assume you got it any worse than the person sitting next to you. You really have no idea!!

Very thoughtful and quite astute. It's a good lesson for all to learn. And, don't worry if people do not understand you or take you seriously. You are not alone because many of us feel the exact same way. Besides what difference does it make what others think (since most of those around us don't really think at all) as long as you are happy within yourself. When people ask me "How am I doing?" I simply reply with a smile and say "Unbelievable" and let them try and figure it out.
Great response. I actually lol'ed at the unbelievable comment :p
Namaste
Some people do seem to wear their hardship, drama and issues like it's a great big trophy they feel they simply must show off to others. Although most of us would just as well not have to deal with stories about said trophy.
And yes... agreed... it doesn't make for much of a chance to have a happy life if you insist on making yourself an eternal contestant in a "suffering contest."
I don't deny my problens. They are there. I just realize there's no point in going around with your "trophy" and constantly shoving it in other people's faces
Yes opening your 'eye' can have pain usually headaches as th e eye opens and awakens. Imagine cracking an almond shell to get the pure almond out now think of a calcified pituitary or pineal becoming uncalcififiec ....... indeed headaches but oh so awakening.
Great post
