When I saw the line up I was not surprised that the result wouldn’t go our way. Trusting Lokanga who hasn’t played in ages and Patino who has had all of 15 minutes of game time to run the midfield seemed like a bit of a gamble and one that didn’t pay off

Having Elneny and Partey at the Afcon, Xhaka out and loaning out Maitland Niles left Arsenal thin in midfield and they got what they deserved

For all Arsenals good work wide there was nothing going on upfront and in the midfield and it wasn’t exactly a game where we could bypass the midfield and go long with Nketia not good enough to lead the line

Arsenal aren’t a team that can rely on their fringe players this is obvious and well have to take the loss and move on
