Sticky Rice
Sticky rice for breakfast is such a simple thing, but oh so good. I got up early to make sure I wasn't shut out because I had gone before and just missed out on the goodness. On a street a few blocks south of Hoan Kim Lake, there is a woman that dishes out sticky rice non-stop from 6 a.m. until it's all gone. Just to be safe, try to make it there before 9 a.m. The dish is just sticky rice, pressed mung bean (amazing), and it's topped with crispy shallots and dried pork or chicken (I couldn't tell). It's filling and it's only 10,000 ₫ (0.45 USD). It was so delicious that I felt bad only giving her 10,000 ₫. Take my money, please!
