The Most Anticipated Game of 2K17 - PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is a battle royal game type where players parachute onto a large landscape to fight it out to the death. The game features many types of strategies and is updated frequently to introduce more content to suit the player base. The player base continues to rise since its release making the total sale of millions upon millions of dollars within months, making it the most anticipated game on the Steam market, currently priced at $29.99 USD
My opinion on PUBG, for a battle royal game mode it’s too slow, it terms that it reminds me of the Arma II mod DayZ (Not the stand alone, the stand alone sucks so hard), ironically the developer and director of PUGB was a developer on the game title DayZ. Therefore, I imagine it would be a better fit for a survival game type with players building bases and raiding each other. In saying that, I don’t think it’s a bad game but can be a lot better. The game is currently in a build stage so game mechanics will change in the future. What really makes this game unique is the cross-platform they are introducing, meaning that players on the PC can also match up with players on consoles such as the Xbox One and Playstation 4, although this has been tried in the past by many other game developers we surely hope for success from Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds.
So many games now are trying the same thing, be it Battle Royal or Zombie Survival and it’s getting kind of stale.
A quote taken from PCGamer.com on their article talking to Brandon “Player Unknown” Greene
“Just keep at it. I would say, don’t try to copy something. You see that someone creates one thing, and then there’s about ten different copies of it.” Isn’t that a bit contradictory?
Honestly, I couldn’t play this game for longer than a week because I’ve been there and done it multiple times, but for other players who are looking for a new experience I would recommend it. This may sound odd but the rush you get when you encounter other players and gun shots start flying, your heart starts to race while the adrenaline starts pumping.
TL;DR
It's a good game, it's still in development so expect some issues and changes in the future. It's a good game but very generic when it comes to Battle Royal. The game requests a lot from your computer and can be slow and buggy a lot of the time.
What I strongly recommend before buying PUBG
Get yourself a good computer build, if your PC can’t handle League of Legend then it will not run PUBG. Just like Arma III (which is inspired on the engine) this game asks for a lot from your CPU and GFX card, so bare that in mind. Also watching streamers or YouTubers will give you the understanding you need to survive more than ten minutes. Browsing the Reddit forums is also a good way to get an idea if you’re still considering buying it or not.

Great post! While I disagree on PUBG being slow, I still see it as a valid criticism. I'm used to slower paced games like Arma, Project Reality, and Squad so my opinion is biased in that regard. As far as the optimization goes, I agree entirely. With an i7-6700k, 16g of RAM, and 1060 strix 6g I'm constantly floating between 30fps and 60fps depending on where I am on the map.
Thanks for commenting 😄 and I really do hope in the near future they fix the FPS my specs are almost exact as yours and we should not be lagging
cheech oz, are you cheech wizzard from back in the old school anon days?
Nah that's not me mate, I wish I was old school anon ahaha I wouldn't be playing computer games hehe
I love this game..... I like the slower paced game.. Gives you that sense of "SURVIVE" instead of just RUN in guns a blazing I will respawn in 5 secs... Is a great game on PC but will be better on console.. less hackers... and maybe a lil more stable.. (sorry I'm a console guy)
I hate hackers too and I'm a console guy too ahah, have you ever played MW2 later though? It's full of hackers! It broke my heart
Good post!
Coming from H1Z1 I agree that PUBG seems quite slow. Especially in terms of external threat, the blue zone seems even less threatening than the green gas.
That being said, I feel that this game has a flow that is a lot smoother than H1Z1, without being as slow as DayZ was. PUBG still gets my heartrate going more than anything else at the moment, and it's equal part enraging and rewarding! So I guess, kinda worth it?
