Money, the root of all evil
There are those who adopt the idea that money is the root of all evil. They believe that the world became what it is today, because of money, because of greed. The connection therefore is implied that money and greed have to go hand to hand.

Where do we draw the line? Is there a line to be drawn? If we believe somehow that money is bad, could we say in the same breath that charities that use money are bad too? I’m asking these questions knowing full well the answers are not that simple.
I think it's more accurate to think of money as we would any tool. In the same way we could not possibly say that a hammer is evil, or is the root of some evil. We can’t really say with utmost sincerity that money is a root for evil, or even more, the root of all evil.
I just had this conversation with a good friend a few days ago. I was attempting to explain that money works as an enhancer of the true self and possibly nothing more. If you are someone who is charitable, who enjoys giving, and you have more to give, then you become a philanthropist in the eyes of society. However if you have a greedy mind, if you live in the world of “me” then money will exaggerate the greedy traits.
In my opinion, if we begin with the idea that money is the root of all evil, we are literally adopting an excuse to not even try. Why would we? To be evil?

This belief about money makes people tend to never accumulate in any way. They have heard since small, mainly by religions, that money is the source of all evil. This creates in them very deep beliefs that it is bad to accumulate capital. If you do not know how to deal with it, you will tend to be someone who will work all your life and never have anything, it will only enrich the boss ...
One has to break the beliefs about money he has learned in childhood and begin to study financial education to grow in that area.

money can be the root of evil, but that does not mean money is the root of evil. it all depends on the meaning of money. If someone has already paid money then he will do anything for and for money, but if the person who thinks the money is something for his needs then he will use the money according to the truth.termakasih @chbartist who has posted the things we should discuss

Money is important to survive but it's not important to live.
We have to decide who is our gold, our God in life.
Money are not the arrive are not the start but only a way to reach what we love.

Money cannot be the root of all evil, but the excessive and inordinate drive for wealth which leads to crime is the real evil.
It is the individual's perception and use of the tool called money is what gives it it's definition.
Like opium, that can be used for pharmaceutical purposes, it is it's inordinate use that is the problem, not opium itself.

That is a pretty huge fact about money. Money is pushing ideas, things and humans behind the idea.. Sure, monetary issues are a big theme aorund the world, but at the end, money is pushing us everyday.
Imagine a world without money, everyone could provide
self-preservation, who and why should anyone still progressing in e.g. technology.

Agreed here as well. Enjoying your recent rants. Power does not corrupt. Power will however empower the corrupt and incorrupt alike, that's all. Money has no intrinsic value. It's a colored piece of paper. Neither does golden rocks or digital kittens. It's all perceived value essentially. The value is projected, because it lay in the non-renewable time and energy of a being using it. The only thing truly scarce is my own moments in my own perception of time, and the energy I generate in this frequency- and even that energy will be transformed. It's only my quantum production which will never happen exactly again, like my own perception of this moment. Even things like water return to the earth, every piece of gold will return to the earth, every scarce thing will be transfigured. Funny how mind tricks will have us all playing ourselves.
i think the idea has been simplified in this phrase. Desire for money is the root of evil. Addiction to money where money becomes more important than food or family or compassion. when you think in this way, then it makes sense.
