3 Tips to Conduct Productive and Safe Interactions with Other People!

in #mindset5 years ago

Hi, Steemians!

Meetings and social interactions of any kind are important if you are dreaming of eventually achieving the success that you have always deserved!

Unfortunately, many people deserve success but few people achieve success.

One of the reasons behind this is that such people are really weak at social conduct and cannot carry themselves gracefully when they come in contact with other people; people who could help them experience their breakthrough.

In this blog post, I am going to give you useful tips when you go through any kind of social conduct, specifically those related to work and business.

First of all, your posture should be that of a compassionate and respectful man.

Meaning that you need to walk or sit down in a way that echoes respect. This respect sends a sign that suggests they should treat you with equal respect.

The more respectful you are in your general composure, the greater your chances of earning the respect and trust of those you come in contact with.

This is especially helpful during interviews, where you will need to bring your A-Game to the table.

Be compassionate when people stutter or lose their footing when they speak.

Be compassionate when they offer you refreshment or ask your opinion on something, even if it is something you do not necessarily agree with or enjoy.

Next comes the art of being a good listener. A good listener is what most people really want in each other’s company.

A good listener possesses a focused mind that does not wander off to blissful states of daydreaming and other sorts of mental distractions!

When you are in the middle of an interview, you need to double your focus and digest every word that comes out of the person who is sitting in front of you.

Trust me, when you are a good listener, the other person will notice this and respect you more for your attention and care.

The more you care about what they have to say, the better your odds of finding mutual ground to build up your relationship.

Last but not least, never look for excuses. When you are talking with someone, you should make a note of not coming up with any excuses and worse, presenting them as truths.

Even if you are having difficulties in your life, you should know that people are not interested in your excuses.

What they want from you are results and interesting ideas that may be progressive to their collective struggles and efforts.

Some people are in the habit of coming up with excuses and they do this without consciously being aware of it.

If you are that type of person, then you need to consciously work on yourself and get rid of your problem.
Nobody likes a person who is constantly coming up with excuses.

Knowing and owning these three merits will earn you much more respect and success when it comes to social conduct.

Remember, regardless of your talent, experience, and skills, the ultimate defining characteristic of successful people is how they conduct themselves in social interactions.

You need to be efficient, respecting, and graceful.

Understand these merits and you can find your way around to anywhere you want!

A BIG HUG!!!

"Nobody likes a person who is constantly coming up with excuses."

Im only beginning to realise what you said up here. I've failed someone a couple of times when she needed me the most and i unconsciously come up with excuses. Now i can say her affection towards me as dwindled. Im sure of it. Not that we are in a romantic relationship or such, i happen to be a mentor. Thank you for pointing this out @chbartist. Sorry ive been away for some time, couldn't contribute to the community. Work is really time demanding this days.

All great advice especially for young people facing interviews and finding their way in the world. Listening skills are paramount and one tip I have for people when they are asked a question is to first reply “That is a great question” and then proceed with your answer. People love this in my experience🙏

Thanks for these excellent reminders @chbartist.
be compassionate;
listen carefully;
Avoid excuses.
I believe that Jesus gave us the best example.
Greetings.

All are important, however for me the most important is to listen, because this is what allows us to relate to others, many are selfish and think only of them, and only talk about them and do not take a minute to know to others, this behavior displeases many people and close doors to relate to others.

Thank you for sharing this information about improving our social interactions. I thought it was very insightful and illustrative of how we can improve ourselves.
-Shortsegments 😊

That's somewhat great efficient, respecting, and graceful are three do's and should be followed for best social interactions.
Keep inspiring us.

Greetings @chbatist.

Three important keys to be applied and that guarantee a successful professional and social life.

Be respectful, showing good manners and principles

Be a good listener, understand the other person's position

Be optimistic, do not see only the negative situations.

Great tips! My favorite is the listening as it is a skill that many forget is even more important than the dialog that takes places. If you truly listen, your path forward is much clearer than not doing so.
