Something special for her 📚

Several people had written about the Book Fair last month, so I thought I would write about going to the Book Fair this time. But this is a month old story. Due to busy work, I could not write about this in time.

This year the Colombo International Book Fair was held from September 16 - 25. Despite the economic crisis in the country, the book fair was held this year. Due to this economic problem, the price of books had increased a lot compared to other years. However, there was no shortage of people coming to the book fair. This time, to enter the book fair, I had to buy a small one of Rs:20 ticket. Many people who come to see the Book Fair come to walk and spend time there. Only a few people come from there and take books.

When we were kids, we would go to see the book fair with all our family members. At that time, we used to come to Colombo by bus from home. After that, we stay at our cousin's house for a day and go to the book fair the next day. Since I don't read books, my father buys books for my sister on those days. So I go to the book fair looking for something delicious to eat. So, like on the same day, we had a lot of fun at the book fair and went back home in the evening. When we go back, my father will take a lot of books for my sister.

In any case, due to the problems in the country in the past years, I could not go to the book fair. This time too I had no desire to go to the book fair. Because I don't read books 😁 Also, because there were exams in the university in those days, I didn't even remember about it. But one day my gf said she wanted a book from the book fair. So I had to go to the book fair this time to buy the book she wanted.

It was a Saturday. Since there was no exam day, I was able to go to the book fair. I got up early in the morning and went to BMICH around 10am. When I went there was a lot of people at BMICH. I stood in the queue and paid Rs:20 and got the ticket and went inside. The first thing I did was find the map of the book fair premises. Then I found the stalls I wanted and started looking for the books she wanted.

After searching for about 2 hours, I bought two books that she wanted. Searching for books with the crowd that day was a very difficult task for me. The food in the premises is also more expensive than usual. So I just had one drink and left that place.🏃
