Weekly Contest 07 || The Diary Game || Parisian streets

Today I want to tell you about my visit to Paris, but let me show you another layer that may not be so commercial and familiar to most of you. The sun had barely begun to rise when I stepped out of and onto the streets of Paris. The air was crisp and cool, carrying with it the faint aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm bread from the nearby bakery. As I walked the sidewalks, I could feel the city begin to wake up around me, alive and energetic. Paris is known for its bustling central part, but today I decided to explore the quieter neighborhoods located outside the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions. These streets were quieter, with fewer crowds and a slower pace. Despite their calmness, they possessed a charm of their own that quickly captivated me.

As I continued my walk, I noticed small cafes dotted along the sidewalks. Chairs and tables were lined up outside, inviting passers-by to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee or a croissant in the warm sun. I sat in one such establishment, ordered a latte and watched people pass me by. Nakoi rode their bikes on their way to work, their bells echoing in the quiet street.

The architecture of some buildings around me made an impression on me. The Baroque style dominated, with ornate facades and intricate details that told stories of the city's history. Each building seemed to whisper secrets from the past, adding another layer of enchantment to the already mesmerizing atmosphere. Birds chirped merrily from the trees, creating a harmonious symphony that complemented the sounds of the city. For a moment, I forgot about the fast pace of life and just surrendered to the serenity of the moment.

After drinking my coffee, I found myself drawn to a cozy bookstore across the street. The shelves were filled with countless volumes waiting to be discovered. I spent some time looking through different sections, getting lost in the stories the books offered. I ended up choosing a beautifully bound novel by a local author and bought it, feeling grateful for the unexpected discovery. My visit to these peaceful Parisian streets was like a breath of fresh air amidst the chaos of everyday life. This place reminded me why I love to travel – because it allows me to experience the world through a new lens, find beauty in ordinary moments, and make connections with people and places I might otherwise never meet.
