Today I was walking from stall to stall around the co-op market, looking closely at the piles of vegetables with my tired eyes, looking at the stacked price tags, clicking my tongue and muttering under my breath how expensive life has become lately.

When I stopped at another stall, behind which stood a young girl with long brittle blond hair and a radiant smile, a warm wave warmed my soul. I smiled too and immediately began to pick from the large pile of fishес and carefully place them in the basket on the scale next to them. When the girl was sure that the amount was enough, she stared at the moving red arrow on the scale to see the exact weight.

I counted out the requested amount from my scarce money in my wallet, thanked the saleswoman and took the bags of vegetables and headed home.
When I entered the kitchen of my modest home, I left the rest of the produce on the table and weighed the bags of vegetables one by one on my home scale to ensure the accuracy of the purchase. How much bitterness filled his sensitive soul when I realized that not a few grams were missing, but half a kilogram. I spread my hands and looking at the icon of Christ, I asked out loud: Oh, God, when will the people of this world stop lying and stealing and eating money? As fair and beautiful as this girl was on the outside, so black and fake on the inside!
