camila the macaw

today I will introduce you to a friend who has lived in my house for a long time even before I was born she has been present throughout the years in my childhood, adolescence and maturity and I am talking about a very peculiar bird , his name is "CAMILA" and it is a red macaw. her story is quite long since she has lived in my house for a long time but to make it more summarized she was a little girl who was saved when she did not have feathers, her first years lived together with chickens on a farm and then they brought her to the city right to my home.

camila despite so many years that she has, she still does not trust people, only a few can touch her and almost all are men, over time she managed to learn some words like chao, mama, papa among other funny sounds.

A while ago I decided to let her out of her cage and since then they leave it open for her to go out and walk around the garden and then she enters her house again.

Camila has a way of feeding herself a little differently from how an animal like her should eat, if she were in her natural habitat she would eat fruits from the trees, pieces of wood and other things, but our little girl eats everything you put her, from Soups up to bread and I really think that is what has kept it for so many years, if we take into account how old it is we can calculate about 30 years.

Camila is so used to being with us that she walks everywhere and does not want to fly or maybe she does not know she can fly.

Camila is very important for us since she is part of the family and without her we would be incomplete and everything would be very quiet at home.
