Digital Maple Leaf Floating In The Water

Today's picture i did was an oil painting of a maple leaf floating in the water. The choice, of course, is how 'oily' do you want it? Too oily and it's just a blur. Not oily enough and it's as good as the original photograph.

I also like how water turns out when it is oily. Simple yet hard to describe.

As for why the maple leaf? It's one of the more striking and recognizable leaves out there. I think we could do interesting art with coconut leaves, palm leaves, banana leaves. Something for next time.
