Aviation Cemetery

in #travel8 years ago

Samara is a city with rich aviation traditions and past. But from monuments and places connected with aviation, only the plane-monument Il-2 and the Monument of Glory are widely known. But there is another place in the city that could even compete with the well-known aviation museums in Russia. Unfortunately, now it is in an abandoned - inaccessible form.

Officially this place is called the training aerodrome of the SGAU (Samara State Aerospace University), but I could not think of a name other than a cemetery, because it turns out that this is a dump of dilapidated equipment, airplanes and helicopters, among which there are valuable specimens. supersonic passenger aircraft Tu-144. Although, officially, the aircraft is stored.

At present, at the aerodrome, in the summer time students of SSAU pass the practice, which, as I understand it, support the remaining equipment in a more or less normal state. After all, upon arrival at the airfield all the cars were in good order, almost all the equipment arrived at the airfield of Bezymyanka on its own.

It was very easy to get to the airfield before. For a small fee, it was possible to negotiate with the guard, which turned a blind eye to all visitors. And the place was in great demand-photographers with models on the photo session, fans of aircraft, photographers and simply curious came there often. They say that there even conducted an off-site marriage registration for aviation fans.

But at the end of last year the situation changed. The university management saw a bunch of photos in social networks - security was replaced, the territory was surrounded by a new fence. But if there is a desire to try happiness, this location is located in Samara, in the village Smyshlyaevka. Coordinates 53.240895, 50.362357.

Samara public men at one time tried to achieve the opening of the museum of aviation, but without success.

Regrettable that resources of the nation be thrown to the abandonment. You can understand that they are vehicles that need to be changed, but turning the site into a museum, until you get some economic, educational and tourism benefit for that town.

At us all these planes more likely will rot, than someone from a management will be engaged in their preservation. ((
