#club100 // The Diary Game 3: BetterLife with Steem// Another Unsuccessful Day (14:07:2022)

Hello dear friends on steemit, greetings from Yaoundé, capital city of Cameroon. Today, I will be sharing with you all how my daily activities went through. I got up from bed at 7:00am and there was no house chores for me to do. I went to the bath to shower and prepare myself for another day at the consulate. Remember my last diary, I did mentioned of an u successful visit to the consulate.

After bathing, I dressed up and was ready to go out. Today, my uncle’s driver was not around to drop me as they traveled out of town and will only returned on Sunday. This was not an issue because I knew where I was going to. The house maid prepared breakfast and called on me to take breakfast before leaving the house. The temperature inside the house was unbearable for me to take tea. I decided to seat outdoor before taking breakfast.

After taking breakfast, I took my bag and stood at the roadside to take a cab to the consulate. I was advised that in order to go faster, I should pay high so that the amount will make the driver to change his mind and go towards my direction. That is how it is in Yaoundé 😂😂. I did just what I was advised to do and boom, the cab man took me straight to the consulate.

I arrived the consulate at about 9:00am because they start attending to visitors at 8:30am and ends at 12:30pm. When I arrived, I went to the security bell and press, communicated with the security guard via the public communication bell at the gate. He asked the purpose of my visit and I explained to him. He said there are some people inside, so I should seat on the bench outside the gate and he will call me later. I sat there while waiting for my turn and hoping it will be successful.

At about 10:00am, I was called by the security to go in. I had to put everything in order and went through security checks. After security checks, I had to drop my phone and ID card at the security post at the gate and went inside with just my file.

I went inside and registered myself in their daily register and the purpose of my visit. Took a seat and waited for my turn to come to present my file. Later I was called up to present my file and I did that with confidence that everything will go on well. Unfortunately, there was one document lacking and I was send back to bring the document🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️. I went outside the gate disappointed because and I called my elder sister and told her about the situation. She asked me to seat around let her send the document and I print. There was a small documentation store around there, I went there and sat down so disturbed 😦 😧.

Time was running out fast and if my 12:30 pm and I do not have the document, it means, I will have to spend another night in Yaoundé . I did not plan for this, the reason why I was disappointed. My sister send the document and before I could print it, the time was already 12:39pm. I went to the consulate security post and pleaded for them to allow me go in and dropped the file but to no avail.

I left there immediately and took a cab back home. I arrived home at about 1:30 pm and was feeling week. I decided to nap 😴 for about an hour and got up feeling hungry. Lunch was ready and my uncle’s maid served me food. I preferred eating outdoor because of the fresh air.

After eating, I went inside and changed my dresses and put on my house attire. We sat in the living room, watching movies. One of the movie was a Nigerian movie titled Begotten. After the movie, I was interested to watch the women soccer quarter finals match between Cameroon and Nigeria. Unfortunately, others were not interested in the match and were busy watching movies. I pleaded for them to switch to the match and they refused. I had no choice but to watch the Nigerian movie.

I could not continue watching the movie and went to the bedroom, login to my steemit account, curated some posts and that is how my daily activities ended. I had to sleep early in order to wake up early and prepared for another day at the consulate.
