I worked overnight, reviewing engagement challenge entries, and slept late at about 3:00am. When it was 5:30am, I could not sleep again because my system has adapted to waking up at 5:00am during work days. I was annoyed with myself but had no choice but to wake up from bed. The more I stayed on bed, the more I feel body pains.

When I wake up, I felt like nightfall should come back early let me sleep. Unfortunately, it was just a wish and cannot be accomplished. Everyone in the house was still in bed and I decided to cook. I could only engaged in the cooking so that at the end, I will be tired and have a good sleep during siesta.

I arranged all my ingredients to cook. This day, I had to prepare cabbage with egussi (pumpkin seeds) and pork to eat with boiled sweet potatoes. Before I describe the steps used to prepare the meal, let me first outlined the ingredients used.

I started with the soup preparation by slicing my tomatoes, onion, pork. I placed the pot on the cooker and fried the tomatoes together with the pork.

While it was frying, I took egussi and grind in a blender. I fried the tomatoes and then mixed the egussi with warm water and added in the already fried tomatoes. I closed the pot with the lid and allow it to boil for about 15 minutes with normal heat.

After 15 minutes of the egussi boiled, I had to add the already washed cabbage, grind crayfish, garlics, Maggi and salt. I usually sliced the cabbage, pour salt inside and allow the salt to extract water from the cabbage. Then I put water to rinse it and drained. I do this during my free time and keep in the fridge. So I had removed the cabbage from the refrigerator and put in a pan and added water.

When I added the cabbage in the boiled egussi, I allowed it to boil for about 10 minutes. I opened the pot and stir to avoid it not to get burned. The cabbage soup was ready and it was time for me to prepare the potatoes. My husband had got up from bed and decided to assist me with the cooking. He took the potatoes and peeled off. I had to wash dirty dishes I already used that morning. I took the peeled potatoes and washed.

I boiled the potatoes for about 15 minutes and it was ready. I heated water and took my bath. My kids wakes up and I equally bath them. It was already afternoon period. Therefore, there was no breakfast we are eating our lunch. I served food for everyone and equally served my food.

After eating, I relaxed for a while but was feeling exhausted 🥱. I decided to have siesta and I went to bed. I slept and only wake up in the evening when my brother in-law was trying to get to me via WhatsApp call. I was feeling headache and I took cold VanPur Malta from the fridge to chill.

It was 6:00Pm and I saw a message on discord from our curation team leader to complete the google sheet online so that he can put up on the curation report. I quickly login and completed the sheet. Later on, I curate with my personal account and my day ended.
