My Numerology

I always hate Number 4. I couldn't remember how this number starts to worry me. Maybe it was the day LTTE terrorists attacked the Air force base at Anuradhapura. It was 22nd October. If it's the date or total of the two numbers of the date or sum of the year month and date. If those totals are 4, 13, 22, or 31, makes me frightened and think twice before commencing any work.

We had an old Peugeot 504 car. My dad told me that he sold exactly 22 years after the day when bought it. He was sad after selling it but I know he always engaged to find spare parts to it and stayed at garages for repairing works..

I wanted to import a Japanese car. I selected a professional car importer and discussed him with the term and conditions. I planned to pay the advance on the 3rd but he accepted it on the 4th. I was a bit disappointed but determined to continue as planned.

I selected my car in the Japanese auction and informed the bidder about the maximum possible bid affordable. He informed me that the bidding date was 6th but the bid accepted on the 7th in Sri Lankan time 2020/02/07 again total was 4. He told me that the shipment will proceed on 14th but it was postponed and shipping commenced on 25th again total was 4. The scheduled date of arrival to Hambantota harbor was the 10th of March and I was happy with the proceedings..

didn't have the financial capability to buy a new car without selling which I was using. I published an advertisement on a famous buy & sell a website and it was published on 4th again.
I had several bargained telephone calls but on 6th buyer from Batticaloa, came and bought mine quickly. The total was again Number 4.

Now I didn't have any transport facility till my new one arrives.
The vehicle didn't arrive at the scheduled time. It arrived on the 13th. Car Importer couldn't get clearance on the weekend and due to the pandemic situation whole country locked down on 16th and I was completely helpless. I had no option without waiting for the lifting of the curfew.

I was waiting helplessly. The selling price of the Yen was increasing tremendously. I agreed with the importer for the 1.62 yen rate but now it became 1.78 and still increasing. The agreed value was 6.1 million now I couldn't guess how much it will increase with the luxury tax.

Finally, I had to pay the whole expenses for the value of 6.7 million and it was also Number 4.
On 13th April Car importer phoned me and informed me that he got a chance to release the vehicle and bring it to his showroom at Havelock Park. I agreed and it was a bit of concession to me.

Then again I was trying in various ways to bring my vehicle to Anuradhapura. Finally, I found a guy to bring my vehicle for the sum of 22 thousand with carrier charges and forged custom documents.
30th of April I received my vehicle. I was so happy with my dreamed car.

Without any delay I received the number plates. Probability to have number 4 total was minimum and I was amazed to get number plates in such a quick time.
I opened the package and got the number plates out.

It was 5746
Number 4 Again.
