The project is lead by Brenden Eich the creator of Java Script and cofounder of Mozilla and Firefox and promises to change how advertisers, publishers, and users monetize the internet with a new web browser called Brave.

I don't think this will make it big... the coin is a gimmick... it's just business as usual with a crypto disguise. Google will do something similar without the need for a coin. Chrome is here to stay for a little while longer. That's just mho though.
I respect the opinion and the trepidation but I have to strongly disagree. We have to know our history and trajectory before we attribute the label of Gimmick to anything (of which there are many I will admit). The Global Advertisement industry reached 532 Billion last year and in 2-3 years that number will be a comedy of digits. Another coin called DECENT is doing something similar in the Chinese market. Yes, there are plenty of Bullcrap ICO's with a slimy agenda out there but this business model is backed by someone with a proven track record who built an engine and a script protocol that rivals Safari, Crome, or Int Expl. How many people can say that. The white paper is strong, the Developers are strong and the Idea for a more targeted and demographically accurate audience is strong. Remember all they need is 1 billion of those 532 and the coin is worth at least 50 times what it is now .. 0.20USD at the time of this response.
Good points in this post. Interesting to see I'm not the only one that is thinking about this. It's surprising how much uneducated investors the crypto space has. You still see people invest in this shady and scammy coins. I was researching a way to do better investment analysis on the current cryptos. Price is spiking atm in bearish market on news of new blockchain to complement this reward token for content creators. I think the demand is there for kids their fave streamers etc. and should grow beyond this. Who can say what longer term challenges BAT token will face?
