ULOG#23: FIRST LOVE

Hi fellow Uloggers, I'll be sharing to you my personal devotion for today (07-28-2018)

Revelation 2:1-5

[1] "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:

[2] 'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;

[3] and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary.

[4] But I have this against you, THAT YOU HAVE LEFT YOUR FIRST LOVE.

[5] Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place-unless you repent.

REFLECTION

1. REVIEW, "But I have this against you, that you have left your first love."
   The Church in Ephesus may not noticed that until God through the angels had spoken to them, this will lead them to "Review their current situation."
   Where are you now with your relationship with God?

2. REMEMBER, "from where you have fallen,"
   Can you still remember the feeedom that you felt when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
   Can you still remember the first time you worshipped God?
   Can you still remember the day that you got your first Disciple?

3. REPENT, "and repent..."
   Reviewing your Current situation and Remembering the good things the Lord has done to your life should lead you to Repentance.

4. RETURN, "and do the deeds you did at first;"
   After we Review ourselves, Remember the goodness of God, Repent from our sins its now time for us to Return to God, Return to our first love, Return to our Purpose, Return to our Passion.

God's Warning if we will not return to our first love: REMOVE, "or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place-unless you repent."

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, help me to Return to my first love, to Return to You. I've been away for a long time from You, I sinned again and again and did not obey Your words. I realized that I messed up many times and not "working passionately" for Your Kingdom just like before, I abandoned my purpose and that led me to loose my Passion. Help me to comeback to where I started, at the cross, help me to comeback to You and do the things that I've done for You just like before. I pit my trust in You, in Jesus name, Amen!
