PC Games Will Never be The Same

First major game I played was CoH -City of Heros. I started and ended on freedom server and ran one of the largest groups on City of Villians -CoV. My name was Darlight, I also ran champs know as MizzDream, OverlordArthur, and most famous the Dark/Em rapid fire original Doselight.

After CoH/CoV went away I switched my tactics from MMORPG/MMOStrategy This lead to the playing of BattleForged. BF was a great RTS game that offered massive on the field PVP and up to 4 player vs PC or 4v4 PVP RTS action. Then the unthinkable happened BF dies and I am sad again.
This sadness took me on a journey where I played counsel games found small games to bide my time like Yu Gi Oh Duel Links Online, Pokemon, Duel Academy and back to some classics "FF7", Xenogears, Xenosaga, Mario and others.
Today however I spend most of my free time on LoL as its something me and my son play and enjoy together. League has become my favorite as its fast past action with a great community and the MOBA concept is phenomenal. There are many games like league but as far as the MOBa scene nothing compares. DOTA1/2 is good but league is better.

Welcome to /gaming/, as promised, here's your 100% upvote. Still 4 left for others!
City of Heroes was the game were you could create your own superhero and choose the abilities? I always feel a bit sad for not getting to try that. I heard a lot of good things about it, but it seems unique games like these tend to whittle away sadly.
MMORPG in general is doing very bad. My hopes are Crowfall and Camelot unchained, have you heard of them?
Thank you kindly for the upvote, yes CoH was the custom superhero abilities and custom set game, it had a great run actually from 02-12/13 was amazing. there are still a few mmo's that has hope elder scrolls WoW, thought not the WoW it used to be, some LoTR ideas and battle front. But definitely not what they once were for sure.
What I seem to want, personally, is more impact in the hands of players. I would love to play something that has the sandboxiness of eve but with with better combat. I've seen enough of themeparks and now I'm just waiting for something to deliver the opposite of it.
In Crowfall you get to play campaigns that last up to years but will have an ending, where the winners get rewarded. They aim to be the game of thrones of mmorpg, that alone entices me a lot. Imagine the backstabbing!
Camelot Unchained is persistent world but it tries to do really big scale battles between players. Something like 300 vs 300 vs 300 skirmishes. As you can notice, PvP is my thing. Human opponent has that surprise element that keeps me coming back.
I'll probably go for Crowfall since it has passive leveling and as we get older, we just don't have the time to play so much. Teenagers would be stomping us old geezers left and right, hah.
