Could This Be My Last Post?

I'm really torn right now. I love love love the idea of Hive because I've always wanted Steemit to be so much more. It had and has so much potential. But, after daily posts to a ghost town for 2 and half years I don't think the fork will help in regards to steem.

I was never ever interested in Tron because steem was a better chain with more upside. I didn't mind that Justin Sun came aboard as long as he was a steemian looking to give this a huge push. He never showed any indication that we wouldn't bulldoze us. I could never understand his motivation because that was a lot of money to spend to shelve a project.

No steem is probably doomed. I do not begrudge the Hive guys for doing what they felt was best. I agree with them 100% and it was only done because of Justin Sun.

Having said that after the buzz of the fork it will take a ton of effort to get hive from launch into it's orbit. That's hard work and I'm on board 100%.

But, I wonder what the possible value of a hive token can be. Will it the thing that rescues all the losses we have sustain staying in steem? Who knows? But, I say no at this point.

Where does that leave Steem? I think it will be a ghost town and even those steemians that don't follow along and haven't even heard about the fork will eventually what is going on around there. I think they will notice when the rewards on their posts are higher lol. But I definitely unless Justin does something altruistic to try and stick it to hive steem will suffer and a massive dump will be disasterous.

I imagine that after the fork everyone will dump their liquid steem and perhaps I should too. I have been saving up liquid since June in order to diversify and I should have sold last night and then bought back today but honestly I have never sold so I don't really know how the exchanges work and it looked like the price on blocktrades seemed very low.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you think will happen. I'm hoping that hive will bring me more engagement, votes and prosperity that steemit ever has lol
