Why isn’t all beer vegan?
While you do not have to associate meat with alcohol, some of Britain's most popular beers are not friendly. In fact, there is a chance that average beer will drink regularly in non-carbon products without realizing it.
Most beers are just a combination of water, malt barley, yeast, and hops. No problems there. However, there is an ingredient that is used in some brewing processes, called isinglass, and the majority of the time it is the inclusion of this component that defines vegan / non-vegan nature of the beer.
What is the ellipse?
Isinglass are the dried floating bladders used as a refiner in some beers and wines. Submission of the material is often used to clarify beer at the end of the production process, often to speed up the clarification of the beverage.
Small fish particles are left in the beer after the brewing process is completed in this way, which means it is not suitable for vegans and strict vegetarians.
Fortunately for beer lovers without meat, the drinking scene in London is changing with the introduction of new vegan pubs and chains in recent years.
