Why Do Mosquitoes Bite Some People More Than Others?
On a summer walk you go back with itchy mosquito bites and claim that your friends are not biting innocently. Or there is not a single bite when you fight with bites in your hands and ankles after camping in your tent friends.
Do not worry, you're not alone. Apparently, on average 20 percent of people are bitten more attractively and more frequently for mosquitoes. If scientists can not find any other discomfort from insect bites (as we know, some mosquitoes develop with time / immunity), at least why some of us are bitten more than others. Some of the factors that share this are:
Blood group
Ultimately, the mosquitoes bite us for the protein in our blood. Scientific mosquitoes say some of us find it more attractive than others. According to a survey conducted in a controlled environment, mosquito groups were found to have twice as much blood in the blood group. People with blood in group B are in the middle of this itch scale. In addition, some 85 percent of people consume a chemical through skin and mosquitoes, regardless of the blood group, preferring those who secrete these secretions.
Carbon dioxide
Another way to determine the targets of mosquitoes is to smell carbondioxide emitted from people's breath - mosquitoes can detect at a distance of 164 feet (max. 50 meters) from tangles in the jawbone called maxillary palp. Over time, people who emit more carbon dioxide than their breath - usually older people - are taking mosquito bites more often. This is seen as one of the reasons for the possibility that children in the general average are less likely to bite than adults.
Exercise and Metabolism
When choosing their victims, they use mosquitoes, carbon dioxide, lactic acid, uric acid, ammonia and other substances that sweat and prefer people with high body temperature. Exercise makes a target against mosquitoes because it increases body heat and lactic acid levels. In addition, genetic factors affect the amount of uric acid and other substances secreted by the person, which in turn causes more people to insert mosquitoes.
Bacteria in the East
According to another research, some bacteria living in human skin and nearby bacteria are affecting the interest of mosquitoes. According to the research conducted in 2011, scientists found that the presence of various species of bacteria at high rates makes them more attractive to mosquitoes. What is surprising is that mosquitoes infect you because they are so diverse, even if you have a lot of bacteria. This can explain why mosquitoes bite your ankles or feet more often - these areas are naturally bacterial colonies.
Beer
According to the work done, only 33 cc of beer can make it more attractive to mosquitos. Although researchers think that it is alcohol, because they think ethanol is at a level and that it causes an increase in body temperature, none of these factors can be linked to the selection of mosquitoes. Under these circumstances, the interest of mosquitoes to alcoholic areas is a mystery that has not yet been solved.
Pregnancy
According to many studies, pregnant women were bitten twice as often as other people. This is probably due to a combination of two unfortunate factors. Among them, pregnant women are 21 percent more likely to be exposed to carbondioxide than other people, and secondly, a pregnant woman's body has an average of 1.26 Fahrenheit / 17 Celsius warmer than other people.
