The design of the SLS AMG Coupé Black Series brings extended mudguards 13 mm in front and 26 mm behind, on each side, create the space required for 275 mm and 325 mm wide sports tires. The darkened headlights and the taillights with black frames create a more imposing and aggressive look. The aerodynamic balance of the vehicle is optimized by the rear diffuser set along with the special Black Series side skirts including a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic front flow divider, carbon inserts in the side skirts and rear set in carbon fiber. The larger air intakes, with details also in carbon fiber, ensure optimum flow to the front cooling modules.

The seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT sports transmission allows fast changes without a drop in traction power, in just 100 milliseconds. In other words, you do not feel the trade. The driver can choose between four modes: "C" (Controlled Efficiency), "S" (Sport), "S +" (Sport plus) or "M" (manual). In Sport, Sport plus and manual modes, the dual clutch function in the reductions is activated.The 6.3 V8 engine has been fitted with a new valve control that is normally used in competition cars and delivers 631 horsepower. Wider air intakes, in addition to giving a more aggressive look, help improve cooling.
Visually, many details were inspired by competition models. They attract attention such as headlights and darkened lanterns, central air outlet and airfoil, among others. The complete set of alloy wheels on sports tires (front: 275/35 R19, rear: 325/30 R20) and efficient ceramic brakes. In the cabin there is sports steering wheel, console in carbon fiber and sound system of Bang & Olufsen.
