God our Lord, just look at the earth, makes it tremble. Because of his indignation caused by the sin that we humans commit here on earth.

Our Lord with his word teaches us that earthquakes are signs of the end times.These warnings also help us to believe in Jesus the son of God, and see his power so that unbelieving people can see that his words are real.

Earthquakes are a sudden shaking of the earth's crust, because of the release of energy accumulated for a long time. The earth's crust is constituted by a dozen plates, with different physical and chemical characteristics.These plates make movements and when they collide with each other they begin to move on or under the other causing slow changes in the topography.
If the displacement becomes difficult, it begins to accumulate a tension energy that will soon be released, and one of the plates will move rapidly against each other, breaking it and releasing a variable quantity of energy which originates the Earthquake.

The effects of an earthquake bring about landslides, destruction of the streets and entire cities, shaking ground, interruption of vital services and people panic.The damage depends on the construction of the structures, and the time it occurs.It has been verified that immediately after an earthquake occurs, it is followed by tremors of lesser magnitude.It is to be expected, that where a phenomenon of this nature has already occurred, it will happen again in the future.

In order to reduce the effects of an earthquake, it is recommended not to build houses in high-risk areas, we must recognize the rapid departures from the house.
Maintain an emergency and evacuation plan.
We have to protect ourselves under a table, since the debris can fall on us.
We must know where the water and gas faucets are located to close them in case of emergency.
Have a first aid kit ready.
