Is MoneroV a Scam?

The upcoming Monero (XMR) hard fork has recently driven up the price of XMR in the last few weeks. This is likely because of the fact that those who are holding onto XMR during the fork will receive 10 MoneroV for every Monero coin around March 14th. However, there are some who believe MoneroV to be some sort of scam, which could be costly if you are not careful with your holding.
Coindrift.io (2018) details some of the red flags that MoneroV present and why being cautious should be your priority.

My Opinion:

I am still fairly new in the cryptocurrency world, but I do know that security is everything. I, personally, will not be entering my private keys into anything just to get some free coins until I know that MoneroV is safe. There are just too many red flags at the moment, and until they are debunked, I will be keeping safe. This is not meant to be a FUD post, but an awareness post be careful when entering in your private information/keys into something that has not been deemed 100% safe, no matter what coin.

*Disclaimer: I do hold a XMR coin balance. This article is my own personal opinion. I am not a financial adviser and this information should not be used as financial advice. Please do all of your own research.
