Korean Shabu Shabu🥘 Experience at "Dpot" Buena Park, California🏖️ // 샤부샤부 맛집 리뷰!

부에나파크에 있는 Dpot 이라는 식당에 가봤습니다.

오픈한지 한달정도밖에 안되서인지 손님이 별로 없고 한산하더군요.
덕분에 조용하고 편안한 식사를 할수 있었습니다.

Shabu Shabu is one of my most favorite dish in the world.

I do not enjoy eating vegetables (I bet lots of you don't either) but despite my hate for greens I enjoy eating them after they are submerged in hot broth, soaked up the salty and savory goodness and all. For that being said, the BROTH has to be good whatsoever in order to enjoy the veggies!

And the broth chefs at Dpot makes is more than legit.

I love how they use mason jar as water cup.

The Veggies.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon I ordered their lunch special.
I was glad about the fact they serve lunch special on Saturday since not many restaurants do that.

The meat. I think it was beef top blade.

Fresh somyun noodles made from scratch in the kitchen.

Jangachi as they call it. It was basically mixed pickles.

And the broth. Galbitang flavored. The red-colored bits are dried jujubes.

My friend ordered Galbi-jjim. Braised beef short ribs with rice and jalapeño mashed potatoes.

After the meal our server brought us vanilla ice cream topped with dry-roasted rice.
I was not crazy about the rice topping though, because it was hard and almost broke my teeth :( I removed the rice after the first bite!

가격도 적당하고 양도 많고 서비스도 괜찮고 굉장히 만족했습니다.

아이스크림에 올려준 누룽지만 제외하구요... 누룽지가 바삭바삭해야하는데 너무 딱딱하더군요; 어금니 나갈뻔... 한입 먹고 누룽지는 다 걷어내고 먹었습니다.
고기는 아주 약~~~간 누린내가 났는데 폰즈 소스를 듬뿍 찍으니까 좀 나았습니다.
그런데 이게 고기 부위의 문제인것 같기도 합니다. 평소에 다른곳에서도 top blade, 부채살 부위를 먹어보면 약간 비린내? 같은게 나더라구요. 제가 예민한 걸지도 모르겠네요.
육수는 제가 지금까지 먹어본 샤브샤브 육수중에 가장 좋았습니다. 갈비탕 육수라더니 진짜 꽤 진한 갈비탕 맛이납니다; 밥 말아 먹어도 될듯.... 하지만 저는 샤브샤브 국물 먹는건 좀 거시기해서 실제로 하진 않았습니다.

매운 육수도 있다던데다음에도 또 방문해서 먹어보고 싶네요 :)
