Rose Hyacinth Orchids on Mebourne Cup Day : My Actifit Report Card: November 2 2021
The first Tuesday of November is a big day here down under. It is Melbourne Cup Day. Memories are full of places I have been - wins and losses I have made. Today is not the same. It is a bittersweet day. I am not allowed to go anywhere there are people.
Easy enough - go riding - make a good lunch - win some
Ride out to the other side of the National Park to check on some orchids. First stop is a rose hyacinth orchid that was flowering last week. This is the orchid of the day

Next plant up the hill is showing the separation in the lower buds to be flowering soon. The plant is fully 45 cms tall. I skipped by the bonnet orchids and missed the cow orchids - next time
Last time, there were 4 plant spikes - now only two. One has been broken off at ground level - guessing the wind. There has been a bit.

I noticed when I laid the bike down that there was a split in the front sidewall. It is good to find these flaws in advance. I babied the bike home over the bumps. No walking needed.
Melbourne Cup Day is a big day. With work from home and lockdown it did demand something different. Butterflied prawns on the bbq served with alcohol free beer
Lorraine made a salad and we enjoyed lunch on the deck. Race was a winner. Last Saturday races, James McDonald ran 6 winners. I just bet on him again and he was the winner.
Dinner was a quick cheat meal. I had a long conference call late which went really well. We might just pull off a new venture
Trade action: A little different. I found an ETF that writes covered calls. It will save me a lot of time each month. Bought QYLD, DE, DIS. In crypto, sold QASH and bought SHIBU - shame on you for going with the hype. My exit is a modest one at last high. The next pump and dump will take me there
